Endocrine disruptors: motion of censure on the Commission lapsed

16 MEPs from the GUE/NGL group withdrew their signature from a motion of censure on the Commission which was announced in plenary on Thursday 12 May.

The motion of censure drafted by Piernicola Pedicini (EFDD, IT) said that the Commission has failed to comply with its legal obligation to publish scientific criteria for defining endocrine disruptors.

It was initially signed by a sufficient number of EFD, GUE, ENF and NI members. After the withdrawal, it doesn't meet the required number of signatures (one-tenth of MEPs) anymore and lapsed. The procedure is closed.
