MUSE exhibition at The National Archives
A multi-screen video installation by artist Anne Bean is showcasing some of the stunning and fascinating historical images held at The National Archives.
´Muse´ displays 400 images across seven LCD screens on the wall of our new museum. Anne used morphing and cropping techniques to explore visual themes such as light, flight and voyage, creating a common thread that runs through records of different ages and origins. Her intention is that "the seven screens ´talk´ to each other over centuries and across the globe."
A free catalogue listing all the images used in ´Muse´ is available from the bookshop, so visitors can follow up specific image references within the archives.
