10 Downing Street - Government “always on the side of middle Britain” - PM

The Prime Minister has spoken of the Government’s commitment to protecting and improving the public services that middle-income families rely on.

In his latest podcast, Gordon Brown said that Government support in vital areas such as health means “guarantees not gambles”.

The Prime Minister also said the Government had plans to improve the social care system.

The PM said:

“I believe that in the modern world it’s not enough to have an ambition for better care, or a hope that care will be there when you need it. It’s not enough even to have a target. To be truly free of worry, to be able get on with your lives, you need firm assurances.”
