What is social action
The Centre for Social Action supports programmes that encourage people to create positive change through social action.
Social action can broadly be defined as practical actions in the service of others, which:
- is carried out by individuals or groups of people working together
- is not mandated and not for profit
- is done for the good of others; individuals, communities and/or society
- is bringing about social change and/or value
- includes the giving of time and money
