News reports suggest drop in number of violent deaths among children

Commenting on reports by the BBC on Bournemouth University’s study of violent child deaths, Children's Minister Delyth Morgan said:

The initial findings from Bournemouth University's study, indicating that the number of violent deaths among children in England and Wales has fallen by almost 40 per cent, are welcome and add some much-needed perspective to a subject which attracts a great deal of concern.

I look forward to seeing the full study in due course.
