The Workforce Strategy for the Further Education Sector in England, 2007-2012

A new guide from LLUK that seeks to support individual employers' strategic workforce planning

Within a context of transformation in the sector and the vision to ensure that the workforce becomes more responsive to the changing learning needs of young people, adults and employers, this new Implementation Plan from LLUK captures the actions and milestones committed by key stakeholders and partners during 2008-09 to contribute towards the achievement of outcomes anticipated by 2011. They are not static documents and will be reviewed and refreshed annually to reflect the policy drivers, regulatory issues and environmental factors which impact upon the sector.

Their intention is to guide the recruitment and retention of a responsive workforce that can meet the challenges and requirements of learners and employers focusing on upgrading skills, improving employability and ensuring equality and diversity is at the heart of it all.
