CIVIL SERVICE LIVE 2009

The Cabinet Secretary, Sir Gus O’Donnell, and the Dragons’ Den star and one of the UK’s leading business entrepreneurs, Peter Jones, are just two of the exciting speakers lined up to attend Civil Service Live 2009 at London’s Olympia next week.

The First Secretary of State, Lord Mandelson, and the Olympics and Cabinet Office minister Tessa Jowell, will also be speaking. One of the main themes this year is innovation and other guests include Sir Alan Sugar’s very first apprentice, Tim Campbell, the Eden Project founder Tim Smit and Howard Rheingold from the Travelling Geeks – technology experts from America, who will all be running sessions.

Civil Service Live 2009 is a unique opportunity for Civil Servants to get together and come up with innovative, new ideas to deliver better public services and help the UK through recession.

There will also be Civil Service versions of top TV shows Dragons’ Den and The Apprentice. And, in the Origins and Destinations space, anyone can explore the history of the Civil Service, as well as take their chances at trying a Civil Service entrance exam paper from 1855.

Information about all the sessions and guests can be found on the website -
