Register for SpaceTech 2013

Would you like to know more about the interconnections between space technology and industry? STFC is collaborating with the ESA Technology Transfer Network and the UK Space Agency to bring you SpaceTech 2013 – a free, two-day event that aims to encourage and facilitate the transfer of space technology into non-space industries.

On 12th and 13th of November space industry leaders will be on hand at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire to present to, and network with, companies who want to explore how space technology could benefit their business. ESA, the UK Space Agency, the Technology Strategy Board, Enterprise Europe Network and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) will be providing examples of technology transfer, and information on the business support available.

Matthew Edwards, ESA Technology Transfer Broker for UK, says that “Space technology can be used in a variety of non-space applications, but there is little knowledge as to how it can be applied. We have organised Spacetech as a valuable opportunity for companies to learn how this space technology can be applied to their business applications, through collaborating with industry leaders within the space industry, and gaining expertise of implementing these ideas”.

SpaceTech 2013 is designed to be informative and relevant to organisations of any size, working in any technical industry. You should attend if you:

  • Want to find out how space technologies and services can improve your business
  • Have an idea that utilises space technology and want to know what funding and support is available
  • Want to network and develop collaborative opportunities with organisations in the space industry
