Employability application guide arrives

Through consultation with stakeholders and the relevant community of practice, Lifelong Learning UK have produced an application guide that defines the skills, knowledge and understanding that any teacher, tutor or trainer will need to support the development of employability skills in their learners.

The application guide focuses on the four personal skills required of learners to progress in the world of work. These are:

  • Self-management
  • Thinking and problem solving
  • Working together and communicating
  • Understanding the business

The guide is an application of 'The New Overarching Professional Standards for Teachers, Tutors and Trainers in the Lifelong Learning Sector' and provides detail for the standards relating to employability.
