techUK to respond to European Commission's Telecoms Framework Review

The Telecoms Framework Review seeks to identify possible adaptations to the framework in light of market and technological developments

The European Commission has today launched the Telecoms Framework Review. The aim of the consultation on the Evaluation and Review of the Regulatory Framework for Electronic Communications Networks and Services is to gather input for the evaluation process in order to assess the current rules and to seek views on possible adaptations to the framework in light of market and technological developments, with the objective of contributing to the Digital Single Market Strategy.

techUK's response to the Framework Review will be discussed at the next CPC meeting on the 15th September (10.00-13.00) at techUK. This consultation will be open until 7th December 2015.

Following the evaluation process, the Commission will present its proposal on how to address the identified challenges in telecoms and broadband.
