A recent paper, Common Cyber Attacks: Reducing the Impact, published by CESG (The Information Security Arm of GCHQ) states that ‘Doing nothing is no longer an option; protect your organisation and your reputation by establishing some basic cyber defences.’

While you may believe that your IT systems are secure, the reality is that no government organisation can be completely safe from cyberattacks. Perhaps, instead, you should assume that you are already under attack right now, and shift your focus from breach prevention, to incident response.
