Medway NHS Achieves Digital Transformation via Govroam
The public sector is dominated by a mobile workforce needing continuous access to online resources.
Jisc, the provider of digital services and solutions, is making this easier with its Govroam service, evolved from eduroam, the established Wi-Fi service used by the further and higher education and research sector, supporting and securing the roaming of 1.6m unique devices each month. Govroam offers zero touch access to connectivity via automatic login across all Govroam participating sites meaning staff can forcus on their jobs, rather than negotiating access.
By implementing one integrated secure network across all sites, IT support costs for visitors and data-roaming charges for staff moving between locations have also been significantly reduced, ensuring Medway NHS Foundation Trust has taken its first of many steps toward true digital transformation.
