Online event: Improving the Procurement of Temporary & Specialist Accommodation

Warwick District Council and the London Borough of Havering are pleased to invite key stakeholders within the provision of Temporary and Specialist Accommodation to join an online roundtable event on Wednesday 26th November, to discuss the common challenges being faced in this service area and collaborate on innovative solutions.
Across the country, demand for temporary and specialist accommodation is increasing year-on-year, placing significant pressure on councils with limited resources at their disposal. We recognise that no single Authority can solve these complex challenges alone, which is why national collaboration is so essential.
That’s why, in partnership with CPRAS (the Cost and Procurement Advisory Service), our Councils are working together to develop a new, free-to-access Temporary and Specialist Accommodation Framework, that will provide a compliant and transparent procurement route to help deliver critical accommodation services across the UK.
But we want to take it a step further than simply ensuring compliance and transparency – we want to find innovative, affordable solutions to common challenges that truly work for our communities (and improve sustainability and social value while we’re at it).
This virtual roundtable event is designed to bring together the decision-makers and frontline experts from central government, local authorities, housing associations, and charitable organisations, to present our initial research and findings, get to the heart of the challenges we are all facing, share our experiences and victories, and start to shape innovative, vital solutions that will work in practice.
There are no costs or obligations associated with taking part in this event (or the wider Framework project), and we are keen to hear from as many voices as possible to ensure our Framework provides solutions for each of our unique challenges and requirements.
If you’re interested in attending or learning more about this online event, please complete the short form below. We would love to hear from you.
