Thanet District Council saves £90,000 with single sign-on solution

Thanet District Council saves £90,000 with Identity and Access Management Solution.

When the pandemic hit, Thanet was better prepared than many local government organisations for working from home, as it was already using cloud-based platforms for much of its work, but with 90 applications in use and the need to integrate with shared HR and ICT platforms, there was still a lot of friction for workers.

The solution lay with a fully-featured Identity and Access Management platform:

  • 400 employees able to work remotely during the pandemic
  • More than 70 applications now accessed in seconds with Single Sign-On
  • MFA prompts reduced from 3,333 to 113 hours a year saving £90,000 in resourcing
