Marshall Drilling are an independently owned, drill only contractor specialising in geotechnical and geo-environmental rotary drilling.

Marshall Drilling, based from our office in Wiltshire offer a nationwide service providing a range of drilling services, specialising in geotechnical and geo-environmental rotary drilling. With over 15 years industry experience we are well placed to assist with your ground investigation.

Services 

Marshall Drillings’ multi-purpose rigs are ideally suited for geotechnical, geo-environmental and exploration site investigations. Our flexible and innovative approach to site investigation ensures we are able to meet the requirements of a variety of complex projects. 

Site investigation & drilling services:

  • Dynamic sampling in sizes from 76mm – 116mm samples.
  • Conventional rotary coring in T2-101, T6-116 and T6-146.
  • Geobore-S wireline, providing an undisturbed class 1 core sample in 102mm diameter.
  • SPT & UT100 insitu sampling. 
  • Robit / Odex overburden casing systems
  • Flushing mediums including water / mud, air & air-mist flush.
  • Open hole drilling using range of down the hole hammers (DTHH), tri-cone rock rollers, PDC and drag bits.
  • Hollow Stem Augering for progression through granular material.
  • Concrete coring of hard standing and structures.
  • Numerous casing sizes allowing multiple environmental seals in boreholes, including the use of non-ferrous casing for down the hole UXO testing.
  • Boreholes can be installed with monitoring / remediation wells, inclinometers, vibrating wire piezometers and earth rods.Borehole decommissioning and grouting via tremmie.

  • Fully HSE compliant interlocking safety cages and emergency stops.
  • Spark arrestors and Chalwyn valves fitted to all plant.
  • Mobilisation to site using our own 4x4s and trailers or beavertail lorry.
