About Us
PRM Waste Systems is a trusted UK-based supplier of industrial waste and recycling solutions to organisations in the private and public sector. PRM manufacture and supply its own innovative food waste and compostable packaging Bio Processor, designed and built by its own in-house team.
Bio-Processor
Popular with onsite hospitality and caterers in healthcare, education and institutional settings to reduce costs associated with food waste disposal, the Bio-Processor is able to deal with all general food waste from preparation to plate scrapings. It can also process compostable packaging as part of the organic mix.
Capable of reducing waste by up to 80% in 24 hours, the Bio-Processor is easy-to-use and around the size of a wheelie bin or small skip, avoiding taking up too much valuable space. It works using PRM’s unique Jem Adaptive Logic technology, breaking down waste material aerobically – with oxygen and a special blend of microbes. The residue can then be used as fuel in a biomass boiler or put to other money-saving uses such as soil conditioning.
In addition to the reduction and re-use of waste, the Bio-Processor delivers customers additional benefits such as being energy efficient, space saving by reducing number of site bins, reduces food waste odours and improves site hygiene. Beyond the cost benefits of processing waste effectively on site, organisations typically find their investment in the Bio-Processor has paid for itself within three years of purchase. The sustainability benefits also go beyond just waste recycling, with carbon footprint for many organisations significantly reduced with less trucks and vehicles on site each day taking waste away.
The Bio-Processor itself is also sustainably manufactured with the majority of the components sourced locally from three counties surrounding PRM Waste Systems’ Somerset base. Entirely British designed and built, the Bio-Processor is currently available in four sizes to suit waste capacity required.

Holistic Approach
Comprising a team of highly experienced individuals who have worked with organisations large and small across a raft of sectors, PRM takes a holistic view and can recommend a number of solutions to help with the management and disposal of waste.
Baling is one popular solution with public sector organisations looking to reduce volumes of cardboard and plastic waste Baling is a process that compresses material into a block or ‘bale’, which is then secured by plastic or wire strapping. This process reduces the volume of loose waste on site, minimising transportation and waste disposal costs, improving site hygiene and even generating revenue for the baled material. |
Compacting is a simple, easy to use process to reduce and control the volume of dry and contaminated waste prior to sending to material recovery facilities. PRM’s wide range of solutions are capable of reducing the volumes and processing a wide range of materials Compaction reduces volume in order to increase the potential revenue for recyclable materials and reduce waste handling surcharges. |
