Founded in 1947, Langmuir + Hay is a family-operated practice based in Glasgow’s West End.

Providing quantity surveying, project management and employer’s agent services, the team at Langmuir + Hay offer expert cost consultancy and procurement advice to construction professionals throughout the UK.

Our clients come from a variety of sectors. Since the 1970s, we have focussed our service within the public sector and primarily operated within the social housing and community regeneration arena. We remain heavily invested in this sector and are supporting a number of registered social landlords (RSLs) in the challenges they face in delivering their ambitious housing programmes.

We are also involved heavily in the private sector and our construction contracts across all sectors range in size/value from small one-off commissions to multi-million-pound regeneration projects. Recent projects have seen us become involved with projects aiming to deliver to greener more sustainable standards, such as Passivhaus, Energiesprong, Net Zero Carbon and the use of modular offsite construction.

Today, we consider the public sector and housing associations to be among our most significant and longest-standing clients.
