Zaiba Malik is a highly experienced strategic communications adviser and media and presentation trainer at Coppergate Communications. She provides counsel, support and coaching to individuals, UK, European and global companies and organisations, with particular focus on reputation, crisis and issues management. 

She advises CEOs, Board members, Executives and in-house and PR agency teams on their communication challenges and undertakes media and presentation training for a broad range of spokespeople, from regular communicators to beginners. She has extensive experience of working on complex, sensitive and high-profile issues and across all sectors, including with corporate, consumer, charity, media, technology, sports, financial and public affairs clients.

Experience

Zaiba is an award-winning former journalist with over 20 years’ experience in news and current affairs. She has reported for some of the world’s most prestigious media outlets, including BBC News, Newsnight, Panorama, Radio 4, World Service, Channel 4 News, Dispatches, Unreported World, Guardian and Sunday Times.

Her journalism has been nominated for the Royal Television Society and BAFTA Awards and she has received the Women in Film and Television Award and Asian Women of Achievement Award. She has been named as one of the twenty most influential black and Asian women in the UK. 

Zaiba is a best-selling author and regularly chairs and hosts panel events and discussions. She is also Interim Chair of the John Schofield Trust to improve diversity in newsrooms www.johnschofieldtrust.org.uk
