At Safe Cylinder Storage Ltd we have designed a range of high quality cylinder storage products that we believe help reduce the risks involved in the storage of gas cylinders. They are designed to accommodate the most widely used medical cylinder sizes, those used on the wards, treatment rooms and in theatre areas. Our products provide a safe, fixed, focal point for staff when cylinders are required and they also reduce the hazards associated with free-standing gas cylinders.
They can also be used for non-medical cylinders as we supply containers and restraints to hold cylinders of various diameters (100mm, 140mm,180mm and 230mm). There is free delivery on all UK mainland orders and there is no minimum order. For complete peace of mind we also offer a free two week trial on any of our containers. We now supply some of the UK`s largest NHS Trusts with their cylinder storage requirements.

Quality Products
Our containers are made of 1.5mm steel and powder coated for a superior, corrosion-resistant finish. All our containers are now coated in an antimicrobial powder coating called Sterilcoat AM which in tests showed a complete broad range activity against bacteria, yeasts and moulds including antibiotic resistant bacteria superbugs such as MRSA. The containers are fitted with protective trim to reduce noise and “wear and tear” and all have a 3mm thick rubber mat in the base which can be removed for ease of cleaning. Furthermore, all containers have fixing points enabling them to be attached to a wall if required. We also supply wall-mounted cylinder holders for the CD size cylinders for wards with a “clear floor” policy.

All Cylinder containers have fixing points enabling them to be attached to a wall (recommended). If you require movable storage containers we also make wheeled cylinder containers, the 6, 8 and 9 cylinder containers can all be fitted with braked castors.

There have been 120 patient safety incidents connected with the use of oxygen gas cylinders in the past year alone, according a recent NHS national patient safety alert. Many of these involved cylinders not being properly transported or secured. Many clinical areas do not have access to medical gas pipeline systems, but the problem has been compounded by the current extreme pressure on the NHS which means smaller cylinders are often required in non-clinical settings.
