About Us
Finders International was established by Managing Director Danny Curran in 1997 who has been in the probate research industry since 1990. We can trace our roots back to 1964, when Daniel Curran’s father founded a probate research firm in London that grew to become a highly respected firm. Finders International is now the largest probate research firm in the UK.
Our global reach, exceptional results and quality of service are well known to our numerous regular clients.
We have offices in London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Sydney, and a full International network and are regulated by the International Association of Professional Probate Researchers, the first and only international association for the probate genealogy industry, representing the cream of worldwide probate research, forensic genealogy, unclaimed asset reunification and estate research firms. Members are vetted and approved and adhere to codes of conduct and ethics.
What we do
Finders International is a professional firm of probate research genealogists, commonly known as ‘Heir Hunters’ following the BBC TV show of this name. We trace missing beneficiaries or identify and locate heirs to estates, property and assets worldwide.
Typically a lawyer, private or public sector organisation or a member of the public will have encountered problems in trying to find beneficiaries or next of kin and contacted us to assist as experienced experts in this specialist field. Sometimes we make the decision to invest our own time and funds into identifying and locating heirs to an unclaimed estate or asset.
We offer a full range of supporting services which benefit our clients and beneficiaries alike by enabling:
