About Us
Openside Group specialises in consultancy skills training and development for professional services firms as well as inhouse consulting and business transformation teams.
Our modular based programmes are designed to support consulting excellence and career pathways at all levels aligned to the competency-based requirements of the Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) qualification. Clients value our experiential learning and coached application of market leading techniques in analytical problem solving, critical thinking and logical reasoning. Proprietary frameworks and a practitioner-led rather than theory-based approach, ensure that techniques learned on our programmes can be adopted easily and quickly become part of the organisation’s DNA and ways of working.
Our Heritage
At Openside, we can point to a record of more than thirty years working with many of the world’s leading firms in the application of best practice consulting skills and behaviours. Our clients include leading firms from across consultancy, law, accounting, FMCG, technology, telecoms, CPRD and pharmaceutical. Openside itself emerged out of Booz Allan. All our trainers are experienced practitioners having held senior level roles in blue chip consulting and technology firms.
We have worked in more than thirty countries across six continents, delivering development programmes, mentoring, and coaching for new recruits, junior consultants, managers, senior executives, and Partners.

We are regularly asked to speak at MCA events, serve on their expert panels, judge awards, and provide thought leadership around consulting and professional development.
Elsewhere, we work extensively with industry networks to deliver value to their member firms.
