Welcome to EcoTMarketing

EcoTMarketing were founded in 2019 by Thomas Young and Terry Carroll after over 30 years experience in helping others to heat their home for less. With a mission to help as many people access funding as possible, they set to work building EcoTMarketing into what it is today.

Now a few years down the line, we’ve installed and facilitated over 800 FREE boilers within Scotland alone. To keep up with the demand, we’ve grown to over 35 staff and a network of outsourced partners to ensure we can always deliver the solution you need.

Our Services

Given our experience in delivering the various ECO schemes over the years, we can provide a large number of services in a professional, efficient and compliant manner.

Between our own sales, survey and installation teams we also work with a number of outsourced partners to help us meet the varying levels of demand that come so that means whatever the project, we have the facilities and experience to ensure we deliver the best possible service to our clients.

Air Source Heat Pumps

Air source heat pumps are increasingly popular in the UK. They are a great environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional heating systems. According to the Energy Saving Trust, an air source heat pump can cut your emissions by 44% a year.

Not only can air source heat pumps keep your home warm, but they heat water too! Plus they can do it much more efficiently than traditional heating systems.

Solar Panels

Panels are manufactured to consist of many cells that capture the light shining on the semi-conducting materials and generate a flow of electricity. Luckily for us British, the cells do not require direct sunlight to produce the electricity and even work on fully clouded days.

As the electricity the panels generate is in DC, we install an inverter to convert this to AC, which then enables the electricity to be used throughout your home, stored within a battery facility or even exported to the grid.

Internal Wall Insulation (IWI)

Internal Wall Insulation or IWI is a form of insulation used in solid wall properties to help them retain more heat through their walls.

It is worth noting that this form if insulation is a bit more disruptive to the home as it can reduce room sizes slightly and will require any effected walls to be re-decorated. It is worth considering this form of insulation if you live in a solid-walled property though, given that the savings are as much as £400/year.

Did you know? Without ECO funding, it would cost between £5,000-£9,000 for IWI!

Room-in-Roof Insulation

Room in Roof insulation typically is present in an attic room conversion or properties with narrow staircases leading to them. Generally, we find these rooms haven’t been insulated at time of build or retrospectively through the years afterwards.

Generally, if they are insulated the insulation measures aren’t fit for purpose or have been inadequately installed when compared with modern day building regulations. This normally means the occupant is either too cold in the winter or too warm in the summer. Any problems will be picked up during our free survey of your property.

Did you know? This measure can save up to 25-30% of your energy bill annually!

Boiler Upgrades

Providing replacement boilers and boiler upgrades is our most popular service that we offer. We pride ourselves on offering an efficient and professional service, we aim to have all boiler installations performed within 4 weeks of the initial survey!

We primarily use Potterton or Baxi boilers when the service is fully grant funded but there’s always the option to upgrade to a more expensive brand by paying the difference!

Did you know? A new boiler can save you over £400/year!

Cavity Wall Insulation (CWI)

Cavity Wall Insulation is a form of insulation that is used in traditional build properties where a “cavity” is present between the exterior walls of the property.

Traditionally, cavity wall insulation was performed using fibres/foam to insulate, however, over time those methods of insulating the cavity were found to have caused damp or compressed over time to reduce the effectiveness of the insulation. EcoT will extract the previous insulation that isn’t fit for purpose and re-install fresh insulation technology to ensure your property is safe.

Underfloor Insulation (UFI)

Under floor insulation or UFI is a fairly common method of insulating properties who have suspended floors. While this isn’t as effective as other measures, it’s still something not to be overlooked with savings likely to be up to £100 annually.

Primarily we use Cozy Floor products to help us insulate our clients homes. There is minimal disruption to surroundings with this measure and all we need for access is a service hatch.

Did you know? Underfloor insulation is expected to save 7-8% on your energy bill.

Loft Insulation

Loft Insulation is what it says on the tin, it’s an insulation measure that gets put in your loft (or attic) to ensure that as heat rises, the vast majority is retained within the property to ensure you’re as warm as can be.

Typically, most homes have had loft insulation installed at one point or another, however, gravity over time and when people have been in and out of the loft it’s often compressed and not as effective at retaining heat. During our survey, we’ll check your thickness for you!

Did you know? Loft insulation savings are likely to be around £150-300/year.
