We check DBS of  every carer. We complete their reference checks so you can have peace of mind.

Our approach to providing palliative care at home allows you to stay in the place where you feel most comfortable, surrounded by memories and your loved ones. Our experienced specialist carer will provide one-to-one so you can have specialist support and symptom relief from serious illness, whenever it is needed. Our services are tailored to your needs, whether you are looking for a full-time live-in carer or short visits. We offer a full range of services for people living with illnesses.

We follow the national palliative care guidelines and we cover all aspects of care including pain management, administering medication, cooking meals, and companionship. Our approach of care means we work alongside a number of organisations including your GP, and NHS continuing health care teams, to offer the right level of home care for you and your family.

Effective palliative care requires a broad multidisciplinary approach that includes the family and makes use of available community resources; it can be successfully implemented even if resources are limited. 

Palliative care at home can involve:

• Personal care and assisted living - assistance with bathing, dressing and toileting
• Continence care - changing continence pads or managing a stoma or catheter
• Medication support - administering medication as prescribed
• Pain management
• Help around the home - moving around the home through gentle support or hoisted transfers, housekeeping duties

Your personal assistant can help with picking up a few essential items and can even accompany you to large supermarkets. Not only this, a casual day out browsing your local shops can be an even more enjoyable activity when there’s someone to share this with.

Attending appointments

Medical appointments can be stressful and fast-paced, so it can feel like you do not have time to take in all the information. It can be beneficial to have another person there to have a second pair of ears to pick up more details. They can also simply be there to offer companionship as you sit in the waiting room.

Picking up prescriptions

Remembering to order your long-term prescription and getting to the pharmacy can sometimes be difficult to fit into your week. The stress of running out of your medication can be alleviated by knowing you have the option of someone else picking it up for you.
