Our design expertise was honed in the highly regulated automotive industry and our design, development and manufacturing processes are rigorous and follow those of the top manufacturers.

We are certified to IATF 16949, the highest industry standard which ensures reduced risk for our customers.   We are also accredited to the quality standard, IS0 9001 and the environmental standard, ISO 14001.  Our core products for the automotive industry are window regulators, which raises and lowers the glass in the car door; windscreen wiper and washer systems and active aerodynamic components, which change a vehicle’s outline shape, for super-cars and hyper-cars across the globe.

HOWEVER, we do much more.

Our design skills are enhanced by a creative flair and a problem-solving attitude – if it hasn’t been done before we will have a go.  Consequently we have designed and made;

  • a machine to clean the inside of aeroplane turbine engines to save turn-around time at the airport,
  • a new way of fighting fires which reduces water, energy and the number of vehicles required on the fleet,
  • a way to sort parcels inside the moving delivery vehicle to save 6 seconds per parcel delivery,
  • two 3m high, 32m long rail bridge parapets with decorative aluminium panels and incorporating a recycled plastic acoustic barrier, which can be seen at the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal.
  • a device to transition toddlers from nappies to potty,
  • a suite of waste recycling bins for use by tower block dwellers,
  • a diabetes management system which would monitor the users’ insulin dosing and lifestyle habits and inform medical staff and carers of any emergencies and, if necessary, summon emergency assistance automatically.  This won an award for innovation in 2009 but was not taken into production due to prohibitive development costs.
  • Currently in development, a safety jacket to protect equestrian cross-country riders from being crushed by their horse if it falls on them at a solid fence.  This will revolutionise the standards for such safety jackets across the world.

So, if you have a problem that you think might be solved by mechanical and/or mechatronic engineering brains call us to discuss your particular nettle and we will grasp it with both hands.  Even problems that don’t at first sight seem to be an engineering problem, we will do our best to assist with.
