About Us
We make beautiful jigsaw puzzles and games for all generations.
We’re passionate about making our puzzles the very best quality, in fact we use the thickest puzzle board on the market. Did you know according to NPD, our puzzles sell out 1.6 times faster from our retailers’ shelves than any other puzzle brand?* Even the Queen is a fan of Gibsons jigsaw puzzles! (not to mention the likes of the England Rugby Team, pop star Anne-Marie, or Status Quo rocker Francis Rossi.)
2019 marked 100 years since our founder, Harry Percy Gibson formed H. P. Gibson & Sons Limited. Now into our fourth generation with Harry’s great-granddaughter at the helm, we are proud of our British heritage and are still providing fun family pastimes for all ages 104 years on.
Our team and product offering have grown a lot over the last ten decades, however our values remain the same. ‘Bringing people together’ underpins everything we do: from encouraging people to play games, and creating a happy working culture, to supporting a local children’s charity and valuing the relationships with our suppliers and customers.
What makes our jigsaw puzzles different from other brands is the high quality of the materials we use. Our jigsaws are manufactured from blue-backed puzzle board that is made from 100% recycled materials and cut thickly to ensure each piece slots satisfyingly into place.
We commission a wide range of talented artists to paint our jigsaw puzzle images, all of whom have distinct styles and themes to ensure there’s something for everyone in our varied puzzle collection.
Jigsaw puzzles and games aren’t just a fun hobby. They play an important role in improving wellbeing and combatting loneliness by providing a focus and distraction. They have many mental and physical benefits too supporting in areas such as mindfulness, digital detox, memory improvement and social skills.
