Sometimes these disciplines hold the key in themselves; on other briefs we work with behavioural experts, anthropologists and cognitive scientists. Clients from all sectors come to us for help. HOW WE USE SEMIOTICS
From the Greek for 'science of signs', semiotics is typically associated with the study of symbols, and the use or interpretation of meaning.
But at Space Doctors we believe semiotics has more powerful implications than this definition might suggest.
In fact, we often refer to semiotics as the ultimate Operating System - a better way of thinking and working.
Semiotics harnesses human logic to infuse culture with meaning and gives brands their value.
Semiotics can deliver the nudge which in turn makes large-scale behavioural change possible.
Semiotics can reveal the subconscious drivers that power human decision making, and by getting to the core of communications can help brands and businesses understand the body language of a category better than their competitors understand themselves.
But it goes deeper than that. Our very thought processes are underpinned by semiotic principles.
And what neuroscience cannot tell us, semiotics often can.

All are passionately involved with their category, which gives them a sixth sense for the changes that matter.
The calibre of its members sets Cymbol apart from typical on-line research panels. While these often sample whole swathes of the population, Cymbol aims to provoke, not represent. So we're highly selective about who comes on board.
Our proprietary mobile and web platform gives us real-time access to these brilliant contributors, who send us little gems of insight as they go about their day. The immersive quality of their input makes it raw and real as well as intellectually exciting. They can also talk to each other through the platform – it's amazing what comes out of these conversations.
All in all, this is a great resource for a whole range of projects, from the ethnographic to pure inspiration-hunting.
