Annual report and accounts 2015 to 2016
Yesterday (Monday, 11 July) we published our annual report and accounts for 2015 to 2016.
We have a statutory obligation to produce an audited annual report and accounts and lay the report before parliament.
Our role is to fund skills training for further education in England. We support over 1,000 colleges, other training organisations and employers with more than £3 billion of funding each year.
For the financial year 2015 to 2016, we effectively managed over £3.47 billion of government funding and our significant achievements included:

established a new delivery network of 21 higher education institutions to deliver higher apprenticeships
completed over 2,500 assessments on colleges and other training organisations to assess their financial stability to deliver SFA funding
over 4.2 million GCSE results and 1.7 million A/AS-level results were loaded into LRS – this is a 13% increase on last year
