Appeal for witnesses to Enfield arrest

The Independent Office for Police Conduct is appealing for witnesses to the arrest of a man by Metropolitan Police officers in Enfield.

The man, who is 34, was detained on Ashford Crescent at about 9pm, 9 May 2018 and taken into custody.

We are investigating the level of force used during and after the arrest following a voluntaryreferral from the Metropolitan Police.

Our investigators have placed witness appeal boards on Ashford Crescent and adjoining roads, conducted house to house inquiries and are currently analysing police body worn video footage.
