CBI yesterday responded to launch of new Critical Minerals Strategy.
Rain Newton-Smith, CBI Chief Executive, yesterday said:
“Businesses will welcome today’s Critical Minerals Strategy, having long called for a joined-up, future-focused plan to secure the UK’s economic resilience. This ambition is essential to staying competitive amid intensifying geopolitical instability.
"A more resilient supply chain will strengthen national security and help attract investment into high-value sectors. By embedding this Strategy within a wider Industrial Strategy, firms will have the predictability they need to innovate, scale and anchor future technologies in the UK.
