Code of Conduct amendments recommended

The Conduct Committee yesterday published its first report of the 2021-22 Session, Further amendments to the Code of Conduct.

The report recommends a number of improvements and clarifications to the Code of Conduct for Members of the House of Lords and the Guide to the Code of Conduct. The intention is to improve the drafting of the Code, better reflect the intentions of existing provisions, and make relatively small additions to the Code to facilitate its operation.

The report will be put to the House for agreement in due course.
