Foreign Office statement on the death of Capitan Rafael Acosta Arévalo
The Foreign Office responds to the death of Capitan Rafael Acosta Arévalo, a Venezuelan Naval Officer, who died while in the custody in Venezuela.
A Foreign Office spokesperson yesterday said:
Reports that Rafael Acosta was violently tortured while in custody are deeply worrying.
Captain Acosta’s death is a timely reminder to us all of the brutality of the Maduro regime. We must see change in Venezuela.
