A former Avon and Somerset Police officer is due to appear in court today (Tuesday 22 October) charged with common assault.
The charge against PC Adam Kitchener was authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) following our investigation into the arrest of a 15-year-old boy in Bristol city centre.
The incident took place in Marsh Street at around 4am on Sunday, 31 March.
PC Kitchener will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court.
