Future Renting Wales 2019: Photo gallery and highlights

The RLA’s Future Renting Wales conference took place in Cardiff last week.

More than 150 delegates heard an update on the Renting Homes (Wales) Act, the fees ban and what’s in store for private landlords in Wales.

Speakers on the day included Emma Williams, deputy director of housing policy at the Welsh Government, Kate Faulkner, RLA vice-chair and director for Wales Douglas Haig and new NRLA chief executive, Ben Beadle.

Emma Williams spoke about energy efficiency, and the part energy efficient homes can play in tackling climate change. She also described how the demographic of the private rented sector has changed, and is increasingly becoming an option for families and older people. Ms Williams also acknowledged that there are increasing numbers of people choosing the private rented sector as opposed to it being buying.

The conference was hosted by BBC Wales broadcaster, Lucy Owen.

Here, we have put together a photo gallery from the event. You can also read a live blog from the day as it happened here.
