CBI’s response to the UK/EU financial service memorandum of understanding.

Flora Hamilton, CBI Financial Services Director, recently said:

“This agreement paves the way for more constructive dialogue. Effective regulatory cooperation between the UK & EU on financial services will lead to better services for customers.

“And importantly, continued conversations between relevant authorities are essential for future financial stability, increasing flows of sustainable finance and tackling cybercrime.

“Together with earlier draft data adequacy decisions, businesses will want this Memorandum of Understanding to signal growing services cooperation between the two trading partners.”
