Procurement Policy Note published by UK government

In June, the UK government published PPN 06/21 which set out how to take account of carbon reduction plans when procuring major government contracts.

The PPN is available here.

We intend to adapt PPN 06/21 to ensure guidance is in line with Welsh legislation and policy. This will allow us to align carbon reduction plans with current procurement thresholds to better reflect Welsh expenditure. It will also support the UK net zero target by 2050 and a carbon neutral target for the Welsh public sector by 2030. We will issue a Wales Procurement Policy Note (WPPN) shortly.
