Tech Nation chooses 20 companies to join Cyber growth programme
The programme, funded by DCMS, aims to help grow and scale the UK’s most promising cyber scale-ups.
After an impressive competitive group of applications and careful judging process, Tech Nation yesterday announced the 20 cyber security companies that will make up the inaugural cohort of Tech Nation Cyber, the sector-specific scaleup programme.
The goal of the programme is to provide 20 cyber security companies with an expert led series of curated workshops, mentorships, guidance, meetups, and honest conversations. The 6 month programme will also give the companies the help they need to navigate fundamental growth challenges such as recruitment, scaling abroad and creating a sustainable company culture.
Margot James, Minister for Digital and the Creative Industries, yesterday commented:
“Congratulations to all the firms selected for this new programme which shows the depth of tech talent right across the country. This important scheme will not only allow promising cyber security startups to access world-class expert advice but also help us achieve our aim of making Britain the safest place in the world to be online.”
Talal Rajab, Head of Programme for Cyber at techUK and one of the judges responsible for selecting the companies, yesterday said:
“It was tough judging the different applications, which shows just how strong the UK cyber security ecosystem is.
