The Global Travel Taskforce report, published by the Government in April 2021, has a number of recommendations and three of the major ones are;

  • The Government will use a traffic light system of green, amber, and red denoting low, moderate, and high-risk countries linked to COVID-19.
  • A green watchlist will be used to identify countries at risk of moving from green to amber.
  • Three review checkpoints of measures, no later than June 28, July 31st and October 1st, 2021.
