Modelling Adviser

We’re looking for a Modelling Adviser to join the National Infrastructure Commission’s economics team. The successful candidate will lead the development of the Commission’s infrastructure data hub, delivering a new framework for monitoring and reporting on infrastructure assets and services across all sectors in the organisation’s remit to support the provision of timely and effective advice on the UK’s infrastructure needs.

The job-holder will work closely with policy colleagues as well as other experts across Government departments, academia and industry, and develop effective relationships with stakeholders to provide expert advice to Commissioners and obtain quality input as needed.

Regulatory Adviser
Deadline: Thursday 6 December

The National Infrastructure Commission is looking for a new Regulatory Adviser to join the team.

The successful candidate will form part of the team working on the Commission’s ongoing regulatory review, but will also be an ongoing source of expertise on regulation across the Commission’s work programme. The job-holder will have knowledge of the principles and design of economic regulation, the development and evaluation of regulatory frameworks, the outcomes of different regulatory duties on consumers and investors, and the relationships between regulators and government.  A flexible approach is required, with a willingness to think beyond the normal boundaries of regulation.

The successful candidate will be required to commission work, review advice and briefing, clarify issues with external bodies, and request additional information as necessary.  The job-holder will be proactive, able to manage and organise their own workload, and that of others, and a be flexible team player.
