Who is the new Housing Minister Christopher Pincher MP?

Christopher Pincher MP has been named as the new Housing Minister, taking over the reins from Esther McVey MP. He is the tenth housing minister in as many years.

Robert Jenrick MP will continue in his role as the Secretary of State for Housing.

So, who is Christopher Pincher, and what are his views on housing?

Tamworth MP

Mr Pincher has been a Member for Parliament for the constituency of Tamworth for a decade, and before taking up his new role at MHCLG he was the Minister of State at the Foreign Office.

Unlike his predecessor Esther McVey MP, Christopher Pincher will not attend cabinet.
