Notarial and documentary services guide for the United Arab Emirates
Overview
The British Embassies in Abu Dhabi and Dubai can perform various types of notarial services for British citizens and for non-British nationals whose requirement has a link to the UK. An appointment must be made for each service.
If there is no specific formal requirement for a notarial service or certificate to be provided by the British consulate, local notaries in Dubai and Abu Dhabi or lawyers can sometimes provide these services more conveniently, quickly and cheaply. Check with the relevant authority (eg town hall, registry office, tax authorities, foreigners office etc) either in the UK, UAE or a third country, that our consular certificate or service will be accepted.
