LSIS launches more 24+ Advanced Learning Loans support
New online seminars and toolkits have been launched by LSIS to help providers improve their understanding of the 24+ Advanced Learning Loans.
LSIS has introduced a series of online web seminars covering some of the most topical themes providers that have raised in relation to implementation of the loans. These short one-hour events draw on practitioner experiences and are free for providers to join once they have registered. The topics are:
- Getting ahead with implementation

- Implications for lead contactors working with their sub-contractors
28 February 2013, 12.30-13.30 - Getting the message over, cascading information to staff and learners
4 March 2013, 12.30-13.30 - Setting competitive fees for learners and employers
7 March 2013, 12.30-13.30
In addition to the seminars, LSIS's fourth and final toolkit on quality and the learner experience is now available to download. The toolkit aims to help providers ensure a positive learner experience and refine their quality assurance procedures in relation to the loans. It contains sections on improving the learner experience at different stages of the learner journey, and supporting quality assurance processes through data collection as well as offering scenarios to help staff improve their confidence when talking to learners about the loans. There is also contains guidance on updating organisational policies and procedures to encompass the requirements of loans implementation.
