TRAINEESHIP EXPANSION PLANNED

First launched in February 2011, MiddletonMurray's acclaimed Traineeship programme has since helped literally thousands of young people to successfully take their first steps on the employment ladder and our award-winning success was recently recognised by Minister of State for Apprenticeships and Skills, Rt Hon. Robert Halfon MP when he visited our Sidcup branch in October.

we've been delighted with the response that our Traineeship has received in Kent and across the London Boroughs we work in and we're excited by the opportunity of working in partnership with other local authorities in London to provide as many young people aged 16-24 with the opportunity to start their careers.

Traineeships are an education and training programme designed to help young people aged 16 to 24 to unlock their potential and to prepare them for their future careers by helping them to become ‘work ready’. Our renowned 12 week traineeship programmes are operated across our branch network at Sidcup, Romford, Canterbury and Sandwich and this summer we expanded the reach of our programme by initiating a ground-breaking hosting link with two local authorities, Enfield and Royal Greenwich, which saw MiddletonMurray Traineeships successfully being delivered to local young people in Enfield and Eltham. Further links with other London Boroughs are planned in 2017.

Speaking about MiddletonMurray's Traineeship programme, CEO Angela Middleton said ''for a young person who needs their first opportunity in the work place our careers preparation programme is a proven job placement induction course that guarantees 100%, a placement into a real job once the training programme has been fully completed. Unlike ordinary employability courses, our service delivers a real job and career springboard that changes lives''.

Angela continued, ''we've been delighted with the response that our Traineeship has received in Kent and across the London Boroughs we work in and we're excited by the opportunity of working in partnership with other local authorities in London to provide as many young people aged 16-24 with the opportunity to start their careers.''
