CQC reports on local action to improve mental health care for children and young people
We yesterday published an update on work we carried out in 2018 looking at the quality of mental health services for children and young people, as well as the access to these services.
We said at the time that the system was complicated, with no easy or clear way to get help or support.
We made some recommendations in our 2018 report for local action to improve mental health care for children and young people.
From a questionnaire sent to health and wellbeing boards at the end of 2019, we found that, at that point, these were being implemented to a varying degree. Further improvements were needed to make sure these recommendations were being acted on.
