Lifting The Lid On Active Lives

We take a closer look at our Active Lives Survey – opening the lid on the real reasons why people do or don’t get active.

In the first of a series of reports, we uncover the statistics that reveal why women are less active than men.

Focusing on the gender gap, the report unpicks the differences between how men and women engage with sport and physical activity, looking at factors like ethnicity, pregnancy and retirement.

It’s the first of what will be a series of reports that scratch beneath the surface of our Active Lives results.

Each report provides talking points on what the data is telling us – and how we and our partners might overcome the barriers for many people.

Our next report will focus on why people from lower socio-economic backgrounds are less likely to be active.
