In his recent blog (September 8th), Mark Smith, Head of PSN and Cyber Compliance at GDS, underlines the need to ‘significantly step up our efforts to support transition away from the PSN which could close down entirely as early as 2023.’ The estimated date when most organisations will exit the PSN by the end of March 2021.

This helpful e-Book (3-4 minute read) examines the key challenges of migration from PSN to the Cloud, from the following Service Provider and Service Consumer perspectives:

  • Service providers with consumers on the PSN or potentially providing many PSN services need to be able to continue to provide those services whilst migrating to a more sustainable or alternative platform to PSN, typically public cloud.
  • Service provider to a few or possibly only one consumer on the PSN need to be able to continue to provide those PSN accredited services whilst migrating to a more sustainable platform, typically cloud.
  • Government consumer of the PSN or PSN Services, you need continued, secure access to all of those services throughout your transition to a non PSN environment.
