ESPO launches new Language Services framework

Our previous Translation Services framework proved popular with many public sector customers - police and emergency services in particular – so we have launched a new and improved version in collaboration with YPO.

About the framework

The framework is split into five Lots to help you find the right service for you. We know that requirements differ for each sector, so we have included dedicated managed services sub-Lots for police, the health sector and local government.

  •      Lot 1 Managed Service for Language Services
  •      Lot 2 Face to Face Interpretation Services - Spoken
  •      Lot 3 Face to Face Interpretation Services - Non-Spoken
  •      Lot 4 Remote Interpretation Services – Video and Telephone
  •      Lot 5 Translation, Transcription and Additional Services

 Why choose Framework 402?

As a public sector organisation, you can procure your own compliant solution for your translation needs, but this can often be a lengthy, expensive and complicated process to undertake on your own. At ESPO, we have a team of procurement experts who have created a comprehensive and compliant route for you to procure these services – and what’s better is that it is completely free for you to access.

We have included tailored managed service Lots for each public sector area – including police  and we have assessed these providers on their depth of understanding within these sectors.
We continually monitor the fair pay of linguists via our suppliers. We ask our providers to share with us their pricing breakdowns and this is something we will continue to do throughout the life of the framework.
To ensure that you receive only the most appropriate linguists, we have introduced clear benchmarks to our suppliers in relation to the expectations of each level of linguists.
We can provide you with template procurement and contractual documentation to save you time and of course our team at ESPO can assist you along the way.
We have secured competitive rates from our suppliers and there is opportunity to aggregate spend and demand within organisations – enhancing internal processes and service outputs.
We have included regional coverage within Lots to allow customers access to interpreters with local knowledge if needed. There are also options for out of hours interpretation or emergency transcriptions if required.
We can see the benefits of social value so we have embedded social value into the framework to help support our customers in delivering economic, social and environmental value.
