NHS Digital Briefing on Digital Child and Maternal Health

techUK and NHS Digital hosted an event on 15 May 2017, to provide an opportunity for NHS Digital to update Industry on the Digital Child and Maternal Health Programmes.

techUK and NHS Digital hosted an event on 15 May 2017, to provide an opportunity for NHS Digital to engage with Industry and to provide an update on the progress on the Digital Child and Maternal Health Programmes. This is the second engagement on this topic, the first took place in December 2016.

Healthy Children Strategy Vision - for websiteThomas Burnett, Digital Child Health Programme Manager at NHS Digital explained that the vision for the programme is two-fold: to ‘know where every child is and how healthy they are,’ and to ensure that there is ‘appropriate access to information for all those involved in the care of children.’

The NHS Digital team provided presentations which covered the Child Health Information Standard and Events Catalogue, FHIR Profiles, the Alpha Phase which is an opportunity for supplier and user communities to become involved to both influence and learn from the process, and an overview of the Maternity Programme.
