Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust provides a wide range of essential services to over 580,000 people throughout Worcestershire and further afield with 6,000 employees and over 800 volunteers.

The Challenge:  One of the most pivotal challenges faced by the Trust was procuring technology that would securely offer remote access whilst efficiently supporting the needs of both patients and clinical staff. Recently, the Trust needed to replace an aged, out of support Microsoft system that would enable medical staff to complete critical activities, from viewing and updating patient records to coding clinical data without being at the hospital.

Outcomes & key benefits to date: Improved patient care, reduction in direct costs, travel time and expenses (as well as carbon emissions!), combined with all-important advanced security – every file and application audited, providing granularity beyond what was previously in place.
